Lisa Ballard’s educational background of the Wharton School combined with a degree in systems engineering gives her a unique perspective from which to solve business communications challenges. She is able to quickly translate product features into competitive advantages that offer customers business benefits.
As the Senior Manager of Partner Development for Earthlink’s business development team Lisa managed strategic content and commerce partnerships valued in excess of $2.5 million annually, including Google, The Weather Channel and CBS MarketWatch for enhanced corporate revenues and customer experience. In less than six months she doubled annual revenues from the most lucrative partnership.
While Senior Vice President, Technology Practice Leader for Manning Selvage & Lee Public Relations in Atlanta, Lisa increased revenues of the practice three fold while simultaneously increasing profitability nearly 500%. She was instrumental in establishing Georgia as a high tech hub with promotion of the Georgia Electronic Design Center (nee Yamacraw).
Successful integrated communications campaigns were conducted for clients such as Philips Consumer Electronics, BellSouth and Motorola, as well as varied consumer electronics companies, telecom hardware manufacturers, medical diagnostics equipment vendors, and software providers. These promotions utilized a variety of tactics including media and analyst relations, contributed articles, event and cause-related marketing, speakers bureaus, and sponsorships.
Having promoted many diverse products and services over the past 20 years, Lisa Ballard has experience successfully utilizing all elements of the marketing mix to achieve strategic business objectives. As the director of marketing for several software and hardware vendors she created and implemented marketing strategies that quickly and positively impacted revenues. Working with both single- and two-tiered distribution systems, Lisa has empowered sales forces to fruitfully demonstrate the comparative advantages of their offerings and win-over qualified prospects.
Her experiences also extend to the financial industry and higher education, to consumer food products and luxury travel and destinations, and to the outdoor industry and consumer electronics. This breadth of familiarity with several different market approaches enables Lisa to apply best practices from one industry to another.
